Tour itinerary

Day 1: Cusco - Mazuco - Blanquillo Reserve

We will leave Cusco very early in the morning, driving through traditional Quechua communities along the Inter Oceanic Road that unifies Brazil with Peru. This journey to Mazuco will take about 6 hours, once we get to Mazuco we will cross the Inanbari river in a small motorized boat and from there we will take a car  to Colorado. Once we get to Colorado, a  mining town, we will sail up river in our Motorized 60HP  Boat to our lodge in Blanquillo Reserve.
We will reach the lodge late in the afternoon.

Day 2: Blanquillo Reserve Blanco Oxbow lake – Camungo Oxbow lake Blanquillo Lodge.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast we continue the tour up river until arriving to the lodge, Here you can file up your bottles with water and briefly after this, we go back to the boat, but just to sail for a few minutes. Rapidly arriving to the port we continue by food through the forest more or less for half an hour until reaching The Oxbow Lake called “Cocha Blanco”. Here is a hidden place where we are going to wait for the “Giant Otters” to arrive and after this we go sailing on a Catamaran.
After lunch we will walk for a few minutes arriving to the Camungo Oxbow lake. Before sailing on the lake, we will climb a metal tower (42 meters high) next to the lake from where we can get a beautiful view over the landscape. We will be enjoying this lake on a Catamaran all afternoon with the possibility of spotting “Giant Otters”. When it gets dark we are in the perfect position of spotting “Caymans” and with luck we will catch one of them. Still “shaking” after this exciting adventure we will go back to our lodge to take a deserved rest after a delicious dinner.

Day3:- Blanquillo Lodge - Macaw Clay lick - River bank of Madre de Dios River.

Very early in the morning before having our breakfast, using a totally camouflaged hidden place we will observe a Macaw Clay Lick. This is a clay wall on the riverside, where different species of parrots and macaws come down each morning to extract necessary minerals for their diet balance. “The Parakeets”, “Amazon Parrot”, “The Blue headed Parrot” give an unforgettable pallet of colored wild life and as a perfectly finish to this picture the fabulous “Macaws” will arrive. Impressed by nature we return to our lodge.
With our things parked before going to the Macaw Clay Lick, we can quickly and easily start our return.  In the afternoon we will raise our tents in an adequate river bank, where we are going to spend the night.

Day 4: River bank of Madre de Dios River - Mazuco - Cusco

Today we will start our journey back from the Jungle to Cusco.  After we sail for a couple of hours we will reach Colorado mining town, from here we will continue our trip to Cusco by car. We will arrive to Cusco between 6pm to 9pm.
